Nice light yesterday afternoon.

I spent a few hours out in the blind yesterday and missed a Vesper Sparrow which is an unusual migrant that I don't see very often. A Red-headed Woodpecker landed right in front of me on a Hackberry tree in superb light but immediately got spooked by a Grackle and took off. There's at least 2 pairs of Baltimore Orioles as I can tell the females apart and a male came down to bathe and a minute later a totally dry male came down for his turn in the stream. I can hear them singing away in different parts of the yard and I can see one hanging nest high up in one of the Oak trees. Not a bad selection of birds and a critter that I've processed this morning while I drink my English Breakfast.
