800PF was feeling neglected.

The 800PF hasn't seen the light of day since the end of March and was feeling neglected and as migration through the backyard has been pretty grim this year as far as photography is concerned I decided to take myself off down to Bombay Hook. The light was initially quite nice, bright but with a high thin cloud cover. It didn't last too long unfortunately. Having left home at 4:45 and arriving at the NWR for about 7:20 I can see I need to leave even earlier to get the best light. There was quite a stiff breeze from the North which kept the temperature down a bit as well as the nasty blood sucking flies. In the afternoon I popped down to Port Mahon but by this time the temperature has risen enough to bring the little bastards out, not many but a few did find their way inside the car to torment me on the drive home. I can see I need to hang fly paper strips inside the car to catch the little varmints when I visit the coast next time.

Edit. I didn't realize that this was my 1000th entry!😎
