Birdies du jour

Started out early up at the lake looking for Mourning Warbler, déja vu all over again. I remember doing exactly the same thing this time last year and just as last year dipped again.  Next we tried for the Clay-colored Sparrow just 1/4 mile away but that had gone too. I did see a ridiculously close Brown Thrasher, a Red-winged Blackbird and a White-crowned Sparrow. Seems the Myrtle Warblers have arrived in so maybe the rest will follow.

In the afternoon I got setup at the waterfall and fired off a few shots. Several Myrtles there too plus a nice B&W and Common Yellowthroat and a really nice Yellow Warbler making it a 4 warbler day in the yard. 12 or more tomorrow.
