AppalachianTrail, Warblers and Orchids

After a not too early start we headed North to go find some Brewster's Warbler's which I'd never seen before. These are a hybrid between Golden-winged and Blue-winged Warbler's. We didn't see one. We did see Blue-winged, Hooded, Prairie, Redstart, Common Yellowthroat, Worm-eating, Black and White and several others, 12 species in all as well as Osprey, Bald Eagle, Broad-winged, Red-shouldered and Red-tailed all together in a five minute aerial spectacle. There were Yellow-throated and Red-eyed Vireos, Ruffed Grouse drumming and Lady's Slipper Orchids. We then spent a good while walking the Appalachian Trail (a little bit anyway) we did talk to some hardy through hikers along the way. We then went and found a few Cerulean Warblers though very high up in the trees singing away.

I got home around 4pm utterly wrecked, made cup of tea and went and sat in the blind for an hour and had a nice Nashville Warbler. I crashed around 8:30 and woke up at 11:30 with horrendous  leg cramps, so went downstairs and ate a banana and drank a few pints of Squincher electrolytes stuff then went back to bed. I woke at 1:30 desperately needing a pee and got another leg cramp. Did you know you can't pee when you have a leg cramp? That'll teach me to drink more when I'm out hiking the Appalachian Trail.
