We spent the night in Freeport to visit the LL Bean store and started out the next day with a visit to Pemaquid Point Lighthouse. After that it was drive up to Mt Desert Island and Acadia National Park. The cottage was on a small cliff right on the shore line down a long drive just to the north of Bass Harbor Lighthouse.
