To both of my avid readers, it's probably best if you dont go any further especially if you've just dropped your precious camera. Where’s the run and hide emoji when you need it?
Well Birdcast (see link below) reported over 3.1 million birds migrating over the county on Saturday night/Sunday morning and a lot of them dropped into my little woodland. My Merlin app was going crazy at all the birds that it's Sound ID feature was hearing, (see link below).
As it was clear blue skies until the early afternoon I resisted the temptation to go and sit in the blind and sweat so I waited until it clouded over and the improved lighting that came with it even if it was a little on the dark side at times. I make no apologies for the many White-crowned Sparrow images as it's a bird I see every year but never get the chance to photograph one until yesterday.

ReplyDeleteThanks Anonymous, it’s really not difficult using a setup location. Moving water is a great attractor and a few well placed perches for them to land make it easy.
