The title is quite accurate believe it or not, incomplete but accurate. The Latin name for the flower we found on an afternoon walk is
Lilium superbum or more commonly named Turk's Cap Lily. We went out looking for Rattlesnakes or any kind of snake for that matter. We did see a Five-lined Skink with a blue tail but no snakes I'm afraid. A few Frogs and Birds along the way and lots of other interesting plants. Here's a few of the superbum and an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail I came across on some Knapweed.
