Yesterday afternoon it was overcast but warm so I headed up to the Gap to see if I could find a Northern Waterthrush along one of the streams. No sign of a Waterthrush so I was taking pictures of the stream and was walking upstream to get a different shot. This little beauty was sitting there so I took his picture. He didn't want to move so I kept my distance and walked around him and then I saw the reason he didn't want to move. He was protecting the female who was sitting on the nest on the ground.
