Loadsa Caterpillars

I went out this morning to do a bit of gardening and noticed a Monarch Caterpillar on one of the Swamp Milkweeds. Then another , and another etc. On one alone plant there were 11 caterpillars of varying sizes. Loads of caterpillars on some of the others as well. I'm pleased. I have more Orange Milkweed and more Swamp Milkweed to plant ready for next year.

Cloud Inversion

As it was foggy down in the valley this morning I thought I'd have an earlyish pop up to the Lake to see if it was photogenic. It wasn't, or I couldn't get motivated to find a shot. I drove up to the Hawkwatch instead camera at the ready for a Bear, Porcupine, Bobcat anything. No luck though. After driving through the fog on the way the top of the ridge was clear. The view to the South was pretty nice with the cloud in the valley between Blue Mountain and 2nd Mountain. From what I gather this is a Cloud Inversion. You can just see the top of Blue Mountain at Indiantown Gap.
